It can also be used to prevent fungal infections during high-risk conditions such as after a surgery or chemotherapy and in patients who recently underwent an organ transplantation or having a weak immune system. It may be given to patients to reduce fever and chills that is suspected to be a fungal infection when treatment with antibiotics is not working appropriately.
