Evaira Injection is used in the treatment of breast cancer. It is used to treat adults with breast cancer that has spread to other parts of the body, and who have already taken other anticancer medicines after the cancer has spread.
Evaira Injection can be used on its own, or sometimes given together with certain other medicines as part of combination chemotherapy. It is given in the form of injection under the supervision of a doctor. Your doctor will decide what is the necessary dose and how often you need to take it. This will depend on the condition you are being treated for and may change from time to time. You should take it exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Taking it in the wrong way or in excessive amounts can cause very serious side effects. It may take several weeks or months for you to see or feel the benefits of the medicine, but do not stop taking it until your doctor tells you to.
The most common side effects of this medicine include weakness, hair loss, nausea, and constipation. This medicine may reduce the number of blood cells in your blood (reduced red blood cells), which may increase your susceptibility to infection. Regular blood tests are required to check your blood cells along with heart, liver and blood uric acid and electrolytes levels. You may experience numbness, tingling or prickling sensations in your hands and feet. If it bothers you or does not go away on its own, consult a doctor immediately.
Before taking it, tell your doctor if you have any heart disease, liver or kidney problems, or if you are taking any medicines to treat any infection. Many other medicines can affect, or be affected by, this medicine, so tell your doctor about all other medicines you are using. Not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding Is not given.
